Have you retired recently? Are you planning to retire soon? This presentation discusses ideas to help build a reasonable and sustainable strategy for managing income and expenses during retirement. We explore how to address key concerns such as inflation, health care expenses and market volatility as well as ways to prepare for things that may not go as expected.

Nancy Reiser

Nancy has been with D214 Community Education since 2021. She earned my MBA from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.

She helps her clients review their options to plan for retirement, often working with the client’s accountant, attorney and other professionals to develop a suitable investment strategy .

One area of focus is working with those going through a life transition after losing a spouse to death or divorce. Such life circumstances create unique financial challenges, as I know from personal experience.

Nancy is active in the Kiwanis club of Des Plaines, the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce and the Federal Reserve Bank’s Money Smart Week. She is also a past president of Prospect Band Boosters and the Forest View PTO.
