Yoga develops a deeper awareness of your inner self and promotes mental, emotional and physical well-being. You’ll be guided through slow, precise poses accompanied by deep breathing to tone, strengthen, stretch and relax the body. Wear comfortable clothing and bring an exercise mat.
Sandy Moore (E-RYT 500) received her training and certification through the Sivananda Yoga Organization, Lotus Yoga and the Temple of Kriya Yoga. She has been teaching yoga with Community Education since 2004 and has also taught yoga in a variety of other settings throughout the Northwest suburbs. Her goal is to provide a wide range of movement that is safe and accessible for everyone. She says, “Yoga practiced mindfully, with reverence and breath awareness, offers us the opportunity to feel the fullest expression of ourselves as we are in that moment. Yoga hones the instruments of body and mind, promoting good health, strength, flexibility, coordination and mental acuity. It is also just fun.”
Kathy has been teaching with Community Education since 2002 and has a certification from the Lotus Yoga Center. When Kathy took her first yoga class, she immediately fell in love with it. Her goal as a Yoga instructor is to help her students feel welcome and at ease, which allows them to move at their own pace.
