The Magic of Chickpeas - Gluten Free

We will learn about the vibrant flavors of India while we make different dishes with chickpeas.  The high in fiber and protein dishes include chickpea salad and mouth-watering masala curry.  We will also make basmati rice to complete the meal.  This class also includes a complete pack of power vegetarian recipes for you.

Shilpi Saxena

Shilpi received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Delhi University and later her Master’s in Business Administration and Marketing/Marketing Management from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies. While her career has been in banking and customer service, Shilpi grew up in the kitchen with her mother and father and has been cooking independently since she was ten years old.

For over 10 years now, Shilpi has been conducting culinary classes. She endorses farm to table cooking with emphasis on how simple ingredients make the best dishes, as well as promote a healthy lifestyle. She believes cooking brings families and friends together, which is what excites her the most. Shilpi’s classes are planned in a fun way where you get to learn about Indian culture while learning traditional dishes.

She has been featured in the Chicago Tribune and the Deccan Herald for the success of the Trio Series and Community Education Cooking Classes. Shilpi has been conducting culinary classes all over the Chicagoland area, as well as in private cooking studios and began with D214 Community Education in 2016.
