Spanish - Beginning 2
Languages
Welcome to Beginning Two! This class focuses on improving Spanish language skills while learning the irregular and reflexive verbs in the present tense. To enroll, students must have studied the Beginning One class or have knowledge of the regular verb structure and the two verbs, ser and estar (to be) in the present tense. With the increased knowledge of verbs, the students will learn to create the following situational dialogues: to describe one's family, shop for clothes, express love from the heart, buy/rent a residence, explain one's daily routine, plan a vacation and to dine on a matahambre dinner. The book used is Barron's 9th Edition, Spanish Now! Level One.

Spanish - Beginning 1
Languages
It's true - Learning Spanish can be fast and fun! This engaging course is designed for beginners who want to learn Spanish for travel, business or personal enrichment. Students will focus on proper pronunciation, mastering the alphabet, conjugating regular verbs, and understanding the two forms of "to be" - ser and estar - in the present tense. With this foundation, students will build confidence through practical conversations: greeting others, asking and answering basic questions, dining at La Hacienda Restaurante, singing romantic mariachi songs, visiting the doctor's office, and following directions to popular destinations. The textbook, Spanish is Fun: Lively Lessons for Beginners, Book One, is required and can be purchased during registration or independently.
