District 214 Community Education

The advanced player possesses all intermediate skills, and also is primarily an offensive player who can control and place serves, employ strategy, vary shots, anticipate opponents' shots-and block and reset the tempo of play. Advanced players work well with a partner to control the line, switching positions easily and playing comfortably at the non-volley zone. These players have good footwork and move in all directions with ease. Due to the popularity of our pickleball classes, all refunds are subject to a $10 administrative fee.

Pickleball is a court sport played with a whiffle ball, net, and paddle. It’s slower paced than tennis and played on a smaller court the size of a doubles badminton court and it’s lots of fun! No experience required! This class is only open to beginners and will focus on learning the rules and skills necessary to play. There will be some paddles available to use or bring your own.
