Chicago’s Polish Triangle & Greektown!
Discover the rich history and vibrant cultures of two of Chicago's most iconic immigrant communities on this unique guided tour. From the stunning architecture of the Polish Triangle to the delicious flavors of Greektown, you'll experience a day filled with art, history, and incredible food! We'll start our day at the historic Polish Triangle, the heart of Chicago's Polish community. As we explore this vibrant area, you'll see why it's a hub of Polish-American culture. At the Polish Museum of America, see remarkable exhibits on Polish art, folk costumes, and historical artifacts. In Chicago’s Greektown, visit a lively neighborhood bursting with Hellenic culture. Tour the Hellenic Museum, dedicated to preserving and sharing Greek history and culture. We'll gather for a traditional family-style lunch at the legendary Greek Islands Restaurant, where you'll savor authentic dishes in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Experience the best of Chicago's Polish and Greek heritage in one unforgettable day!

Pickleball - Intermediate/Advanced
This is an independent play Pickleball program for high level Intermediate and advanced players only at skill level 3.5 or above. Formal instruction is not included in Independent Play, but individualized attention is available from the instructor to players on an as-needed basis. Due to the popularity of our pickleball classes, all refunds are subject to a $10 administrative fee.

Spectacular Gardens of the Rock River Valley
Community Education Travel
Travel to the beautiful Rock River Valley to explore its spectacular gardens. The journey begins in Janesville, Wisconsin, at the Rotary Botanical Gardens. A docent-guided tour will take you through 24 different garden areas showcasing over 4,000 plant varieties, including dramatic internationally themed spaces like the Japanese, Scottish, French Formal, Italian, and English Cottage Gardens. You'll also see the spectacular Sunken Gardens, which are known for their large cottonwood and honey locust trees overhanging planting beds filled with a colorful array of bulbs, perennials, and annuals.In Rockford, Illinois, visit the incredible Anderson Japanese Gardens. This serene and beautiful space is celebrated for its meandering streams, koi-filled ponds, and dramatic waterfalls. Lunch will be at the historic Stockholm Inn in Rockford, a Scandinavian-style restaurant owned by Rick Nielsen of the band Cheap Trick. Famous for its delicious home cooking, the Stockholm Inn has a rich history, having hosted celebrities like Dinah Shore and Mickey Rooney.

The Theater Lab Presents: Leaving Iowa

The Theater Lab, a District 214 Community Education program, is excited to announce the summer production of its 2025-2026 season, Leaving Iowa, with a limited four-performance run, August 15-17, 2025, at the Forest View Educational Center Theater in Arlington Heights. The critically-acclaimed, hilarious, family-friendly play about a journalist, Don Browning, who decides to finally take a roadtrip to return to Winterset, Iowa, to take his late father’s ashes to his childhood home, as requested, only to find his childhood home is not quite the same as it was when he left.
