Our holiday cookie decorating class is perfect for all skill levels. You'll learn how to make the perfect royal icing and craft beautiful holiday themed cookies. Master the techniques of piping an array of holiday designs, from cheerful snowflakes and charming snowmen to elegant wreaths and whimsical ornaments. I will be providing you with my popular and delicious lemon sugar cookies, adding a zesty twist to your creations.

Learn the techniques for making your own cheese. We'll cover the science behind cheese making, ingredients, equipment, and cooking techniques. Lemon cheese will be demonstrated the first night and students will make mozzarella the second night of class. Supplies will be reviewed in class the first night.

Have you taken a beginner ukulele class and you want to continue to grow your skills? In this class you will build on the chords and strumming patters learned in Beginner Ukulele. Students must provide their own instruments.

This course is an introduction to the Italian language, using only essential grammar for learning everyday Italian. By the end of the course the student will be able to introduce themselves and to navigate themselves in an Italian city, to carry out a conversation in an airport or hotel setting, and to ask for instructions.

This class is for adults who are interested in learning Latin dance styles including salsa, merengue, bachata, cha-cha, and rumba. Beginners as well as experienced dancers will benefit from this variety of Latin dance moves. Singles and couples are welcome.

This class is for adults who have a basic knowledge of social Latin dances such as Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cha-cha, or Rumba, or have taken Latin Dance Beginning. Participants will enjoy a variety of Latin dance moves, with the focus on footwork and partners work, connection and turn technique. All this can be applied as social dancing with different partners. Singles and couples are welcome.

Line dancing is a great way to meet new people, get some fun exercise, and just have a great time! In this class, we'll cover a number of different well known line dances based on country and pop songs. No prior experience required, singles and couples both welcome.

In this intermediate level class, we’ll build upon what we’ve already learned in the beginning Line Dancing class and take our skills to the next level. Open only to students who have already taken Line Dancing. Singles and couples both welcome.

There is nothing like the romance and luxury of dining aboard first-class railroad cars the way people did a generation ago. Today we’ll travel to East Troy, WI to experience dining aboard award-winning Art Deco railroad cars while enjoying a delicious lunch. These meticulously restored coaches of the Chicago South Shore & South Bend Railroad serve as your dining room as the East Troy Electric Railroad presents the last remaining electric inter-urban dining car train in North America. Built in 1927 the train operates on the original Milwaukee Electric Railway Company’s inter-urban track and takes a leisurely trip to Phantom Lake, before returning to the East Troy depot and museum. On our way back we stop at the landmark Elegant Farmer Farm Market. You’ll have time here to shop at their Farm Kitchen Bakery and Market featured on TV’s Food Network. The market is known for its one-of-a-kind apple pie baked in a paper bag!

Your garden has produced a bumper crop of herbs. What are you going to do with all of them? In this class you will learn how to harvest and store your herbal treasures as well as how to use them to prepare butters, vinegars, oils, teas, potpourri, sachets and other herbal delights.

This session will discuss the different types of Medicare coverage besides traditional Medicare, highlighting the key differences, benefits and drawbacks of Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans to help attendees make informed choices.

Take a step back to the days of Christmas past in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A local guide will lead a narrated tour featuring some of the area’s iconic holiday sights. We’ll visit the historic and spiritual St. Josaphat Basilica, completed in 1901. At the Mitchell Park Conservatory, a trio of beehive-shaped glass domes are bedecked with hundreds of colorful poinsettias, snow white mums and brightly decorated pines for the annual Holiday Floral Show. . Christmas at the Pabst Mansion is a true experience of Christmases past! Built in 1892 by beer baron Frederick Pabst, the mansion is elegantly decorated for the holidays. Lunch is a great holiday meal at the Steakout Supper Club in Greendale . After leaving Milwaukee we will stop in Caledonia, Wisconsin, to see the drive-through “Carnival of Lights”--billed as the biggest and brightest light show in the Midwest, featuring more than two million lights!

This class builds on the fundamentals studied in the Introduction to Ohara Ikebana. In this class, advanced styles such as Hana-Isho and Moribana will be covered. This is a hands-on class where students learn the techniques and philosophies of Ohara Ikebana. Since this is an at-home class, participants are responsible for purchasing their own flowers and materials. A list of required materials will be provided a few days prior to the class.

Ikebana is the Japanese art of floral arrangement which has been practiced for more than 600 years. This ancient art form has evolved to the present form that are enjoyed by Ikebana practitioners all over the world. The Ikebana arrangements emphasize the natural shapes and graceful lines of the flowers, stems and leaves while bringing together nature and humanity through its shape, line, and form. This is a hands on class where students learn the techniques, the rules, and the philosophy of Ikebana through creating arrangements with flowers, leaves, branches and other materials found in the nature around us. Since this is an at-home class, participants are responsible for purchasing their own flowers and materials. A list of required materials will be provided a few days prior to the class.
